National Biodiversity Day is celebrated every year on 22May to increase understanding and awareness of biodiversity issues. This year, NCC and grade 9 students of DPS Yamunanagar engaged and inspired others in this mission to protect and appreciate our biodiversity.
They distributed earthen pots (bird baths) to the residents of the city to be placed outside their houses as a gesture of kindness for the animals and birds in this scorching heat. This initiative also aimed to promote sustainable practices and reduce plastic usage.
The distribution drive received enthusiastic community support as well. Such activities ensure a comprehensive learning for the students to become better citizens of tomorrow.
